Y'all Have Corrupted Me

One thing about reading posts around here is that so many posts have to do with food. I guess it's just a human condition that's responsible for that. We all love to eat. I can't tell you how many posts I have read recently talking about bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches, otherwise known as BLTs, and it's been a hot minute since I have had one. No more. Tomorrow for dinner I plan to make BLTs for dinner, although I have no decided on a side yet. But I have all the ingredients, and the bacon is thawing now to throw into my Gotham Steel bacon baking pan. I simply have to do it. After post after post, y'all have completely corrupted me and now I just have to do what I have to do. I have no reason to believe this will not be absolutely delicious.

I love a good BLT. I normally don't eat raw tomatoes on a sandwich or in a salad but I love a good BLT. Extra dark toast, lots of mayo, yum yum yum.

I love raw tomatoes. But it's been a good while since I have had a BLT, and I am sure it will be good.

I have to enjoy. I often ignore food-based posts, because I never know what to say.

To me, food-based posts are some of the easiest posts to respond to, I find. Everyone has a preference or likes or dislikes something or has a twist on something that they can share an opinion about to respond. Just my two cents.

@porwest I never found them that easy to reply to. But it also depends how they're written, too.

No kidding. Hmm. It's funny, I actually thought of them because I had seen several posts about BLTs or read several comments about them. I swear, I do a lot of meal planning lately based off food posts or foodie comments. Even my recent chicken tetrazzini was based off something someone posted.

It should be illegal to see food post at 1:30 am especially with that kind of photo!

lol. I am sure many would probably agree with you about certain timing of posts that might cause one to suddenly develop a severe case of hunger pangs.

Sounds delicious. We use spinach leaves instead of lettuce. I like Mayo, hubby likes Miracle Whip, but we manage just fine.

Hmm. Spinach leaves sound delicious to use. If I had some, I'd probably do that right now. But I don't have any.

I usually always have a few packages in the freezer. We don't eat it often and always stock up when we find a good deal.

I used to have a jigsaw that was very similar to the photo you've posted. Enjoy your BLTs.

That looks so invitingly corrupt. Maybe next time. I'll pass with the BLT. I'll cook the bacon to crisp and cut them up-- bite size-- and top them on the big bowl of green salad, tomatoes, cucumber doused with FCP olive oil, APC vinegar, macadamia nuts, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds. How does that sound?

With this Bidenomics economy I don't how you'll can afford to buy bacon for BLT's.

I have enjoyed 2 BLT's this summer, and hope to have one or two more. I only like them when I have true, home-grown fresh tomatoes, they are such a treat. I always try to eat mine with something lighter, due to the bacon, I guess. Coleslaw, or fresh salad, usually. Enjoy your BLT's, I know they are wonderful!!
