Lifetime Must Have Done an Upgrade

The Lifetime Movie Channel has had some good movies lately. It's like they did a writer upgrade or something. Two movies caught me by surprise this month.
"Forever" is the story of two people who come together after losing their significant others. The woman has three daughters and the guy has to win them over. He does and they live happily for a time until she gets sick. What happens after that is a showing of such real love that it makes me cry.
"My Mom's Letter From Heaven" is the story of a mom who gets cancer and dies. Her daughter, Zoe, grows into her teen years and is hateful and disrespectful to her dad. He has forgotten about a letter her mom had written and had him promise to give it to Zoe when the time was right. Well, the time comes and the story is just wonderful how it all pans out.
I hope this is a new trend for Lifetime and they quit with so many of the usual cookie-cutter storylines.

I like the Lifetime movies based on a true story. Have a good long weekend.
