Chillaxing in a Chilling Climate

It has been two days that we are experiencing a strong typhoon called "Enteng." Some people did not go to work due to the flooding reason, and school classes were suspended for safety reasons. I assumed that they were chillax moments while loving the chilling weather, and that includes me. However, others were really greatly affected by this current typhoon. They lost their houses and belongings and even took their lives. Are you in chillax mode today? Image Credit: media.philstar.com

The past two days has been the same for us here. We were worried that the typhoon will affect the electricity good thing it did not

I felt the same way, too. In times like this, we usually experience unscheduled power outages due to a strong typhoon. Luckily, it did not happen. However, it is still raining heavily today. So, we decided not to let our grade 8 student not go to school today.

@Shavkat the weather yesterday was much better but last night it started raining again. When I wake up at 5am, I saw mayors announcement to use alternative modalities instead of face to face classes todY

@rakski It is also the same thing here. It stopped the downpour of rain at random. Early this morning, it rains so hard, and it pushes me not to let my niece go to school today.

We had heavy rains last night but it's unlikely that we will have any damage. Losing power is about the worst it can get for me.

This is also my concern. If we are experiencing a strong typhoon or even heavy rain, power outage will happened instantly. Luckily, we did not experience it.

Sorry about the loss of lives. I can't imagine weather like that for 2 days - usually a hurricane last about 7 hours at the most then moves on. It is the aftermath that is always the big problem.

I'm really sorry to hear about the impact of Typhoon Enteng. It’s heartbreaking when such natural disasters cause so much loss and suffering. While some might find a momentary pause in routine, it's a stark reminder of how vulnerable others can be.
