Dealing with the Mish Mash

After just 2 days of work it is middle of the work week.
Of course the fact that Monday was Labour Day holiday didn't hurt any.
Our weather has changed so much the past week or so. The heat and humidity have moved on and we are enjoying sunshine and dry weather. The sun feels nice when you sit in it and the breeze is great for making it feel tolerable to sit in the sun.
I tackled another closet after work today.
We have a regular side by side closet for our clothing in our bedroom. I have boxes stacked as high as possible on the shelf above the clothes rod. There is a small closet with shelves beside that closet. I keep the vacuum cleaner in there and a mish mash of stuff.
I dug through the mish mash and reorganized it and was able to take the Christmas decorations out of the clothing closet and put into the smaller one. I still have too many decorations, when we down-sized I never got rid of all of the decorations, and we literally have enough for 2 trees.
I will gather what we haven't used or what has seen better days and pack that up for a donation soon.
It feels so good to declutter and get rid of the mish mash.

Our weather has changed a lot the past 3 days, now we are having rain and the temperature has dropped.
I also have boxes stacked on the shelves above the clothes rods. I keep inside what we do not use often, I place the winter clothes during summer to have more space in the cabinet. The Christmas boxes are now downstairs in the basement. I have to go through all the old stuff and donate a lot of things.

@wolfgirl569 They did, they commented on how it was worth more than I was asking for it.

If I could afford it, I would love to hire a professional organizer and turn my big walk in into something functional!

@Juliaacv Yeah, seems like half the tuff doesn't need to be in there

Bit by bit I am letting things go and organizing better.
I have had the high chair online for sale for about a month, without any interest, but someone is coming in a few minutes to view it and possibly buy it.
I would be happy as I did tell myself that if it doesn't sell by the weekend, I would donate it.

@RasmaSandra That must have been such a difficult time for you.
Thankfully she was able to retrieve your things.

@Juliaacv some not all and she has her own problems the stuff is in a garage and has been sitting there for the last 7 years. SIGH If I had had the energy and the mind I would have distributed things on my own and tossed what had to be tossed, Makes no sense sitting there with the elements and the rodents,

I am in agreement with you that getting rid of some items that are not needed is good.

Sounds like you’re making awesome progress on that decluttering mission! A holiday-shortened week definitely helps with the midweek blues, and it’s great to hear the weather is playing nice too. Sunshine, a breeze, and clearing out those closets—talk about a productive combo! Good on you for getting organized, and those extra decorations are gonna make someone else’s holiday bright. Keep it up!

Decluttering does feel good. This would be a good time of year for me to go through the Christmas stuff and donate some. Plus bring the rest to a closet upstairs so I don't have to do it when I'm busy.
Carrying stuff on stairs has become difficult for me. Well, stairs are difficult.

@Juliaacv We have several boxes of decorations that we never use. They could be donated too.
