We have a bird bath that is a haven for birds. There is no restriction who can have fun in there and who cannot. The big sized peacocks, the royal Indian cuckoos, the Dhobi birds, water fowl, the greater racket drongo and many more.
A special mention needs be made of the simple crow. They too are welcome. I find them an asset Do you know they alert me if we are going to have guests? (lol)
This guy who is frolicking in the bird bath is pretty large in size. I think they are called ravens.
Do you have crows where you live?

@LadyDuck With figs unless they are fully ripe you cannot pluck them. They do not become ripe in keeping unlike mangoes.

@allknowing - I did put a net, they arrive to make the figs fall on the ground and then they eat the figs. Smart birds!

We don't see them here. Once in a while they do visit. We have lots of pigeons, some sparrows, parrot and bulbul who visit us frequently.

We used to have pigeons too but now I just do not see them. Parrots used to frequent our garden to eat bimblis and the star fruit. They will be back when these trees start yielding.

@allknowing Here in urban set up, pigeons are in abundance and they become a menace too.

We have lots of sparrows the brown one, but now I seldom see them in our area because many trees are already cut down, but before when I was in high school decades ago lol! you can just see them walking on the ground that is why we always catch one... hehehe but we let them go once we are done petting them... at first they look scared, but once we gently scratch their heads they loving it. Those were the days, that is one of my fun memories too.

I like to watch them frolic in the birdbath, sitting in my favourite corner
