Maggie Smith- Rest in Peace.

If you've paid any attention at all to my posts about what I've read or what watched, you know that I am a big fan of the Harry Potter universe, movies included. One of the most important characters in both the book and film series is Professor McGonagall. McGonagall was portrayed in the film series by Maggie Smith. An actress who played the character near perfectly to a T as to how she was written in the books. The first thing I saw this morning was that Maggie Smith has passed away. Usually when actors or actresses pass it's sad but they aren't people that I've seen a lot of their work so it just isn't as sad. But I've seen all the Harry Potter movies multiple times as well as several other things Smith was in. So I'm a little extra bummed about this one. Smith's son's released a statement this morning saying she passed away peacefully at the hospital. But didn't give a cause of death. She was 89. She had acted since the fifties. That's an impressive and long career. I have attached the news story from TMZ which is how I found out she had passed.
