Maggie Smith, English actress, died this morning at 89 years old. She was famous for the movie "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", Downton Abbey, and Harry Potter. Born in 1934 she acted for six decades. She won two Academy Awards and was the first one hundred stars to be honored on the British equivalent of Hollywood's "Walk of Fame" known as the "Avenue of Stars".
Her sons did not give a cause of death in their notice. The star had suffered from several health issues including glaucoma and Grave's disease.

It bugs me that people call her McGonagall, probably for the same reasons that it bugs the actors and actresses to just be known by one roll.

I used that one because I felt readers might recognize her more easily. I liked her best on Downton Abbey.

I'm glad that they were cast in the Harry Potter franchise. Good to see them one last time.
