Hello again, myLot!

Photo I took of the opened package after finding it at my door.

Went for a walk before it got too terribly hot. I see a little note in the corner of my screen that supposedly the temperatures are going to drop. Huh--like from 101 to100 degrees? I suppose some is better than none. Before I started on my walk, I opened the door and there was a package outside. I knew what was in it, (see photo) so I put it inside and started my walk. Anyway, I was about to turn a corner and head home near the end when I saw a neighbor with her dog across the street, so I went over to say hello and wound up walking home with them. I got home and tried to upload a couple of photos, but my phone froze, so I was dealing with that, and forgot to write down the time I got home. I think I got in about 20-30 minutes, so that wasn't bad. Definitely not trying a walk this afternoon. It's 10:33 by my computer clock, and 83 degrees F by the little thermometer in the corner of my computer screen. Right now I'm going to check the low income housing site and make a couple of phone calls. Hope all is well with you and that you are staying cool in your part of myLot land!

People in some places talk about not needing an air conditioner in October . That is not the case for us!

Well, I actually don't use the air conditioner because I don't need to add extra money to my bills. My apartment is only at 75 degrees right now, which for me is tolerable.

@xstitcher Oh! I have to run mine. It gets too humid if I don’t. Now, in the winter I don’t run my heater much because I can take the cold. My bill then is really low.

@AmbiePam When I'm cold in the winter I just throw on a sweater or something. Yikes, you can take the cold? I'm guessing it gets colder there than it does here! Humidity--of course. Didn't think of that. Spent a week of July 1981 in Missouri, that was enough of that kind of humidity for me!
