Shampoo and Hair Loss

I was reading an article that I found interesting and wanted to share it with you folks. It is about a substance found in some shampoos. Manufacturers put it in their products so it lasts longer on the shelf. It is used in morgues to preserve bodies. It leads to irreversible hair loss. It is formaldehyde.
Normally we lose 50-100 strands each day. This is part of the normal growth cycle and new hair strands grow in place of the old.
I thought this was interesting and also wondered if this is why there are so many people buying growth hormones and different products to help grow their hair back. Are these companies in cahoots together?
Your thoughts.

I haven“t heard of it. But I have heard that biotine is very good against hair falling.

Also used to be in nail polish. I do not know if the industries are collaborating or if it is just take advantage of any situation to make a buck.

Yes, I remember that find from years back. Make a buck is at the forefront I'm sure.

Heavens no. They'd have a libel suit on them real fast if they did.

It is possible that products that are supposed to grow hair back are in name only and most likely a con job.

Could be. Smart to do some research before buying them.

I remember formaldehyde in high school when we had to dissect frogs. That smell stayed in your clothes all day long. I need to check my shampoo; but I tend to use baby shampoo or very mild shampoos. Have a good day.

That is where I recall the smell from too. I hate to think of it in nail polish and shampoo.

I didn't know that, but it is good to know. I will check my shampoos for that ingredient.
