Big game hunt

I thought there was only one, keeping me from my shower. I managed to get the first one out, but then I moved the shower curtain, and there was another one.
Another what? you might ask.
Wolf spiders. Big ones. No idea how they got in. Either one of them was big enough with legs extended to cover the top of a half dollar. Maybe even a silver dollar.
I do not like to squish bugs. (Except mosquitoes, I squish them). I figure if they stay away from me, I can stay away from them. Besides, squishing a big bug leaves a big splot of a mess.
Remember this method if you ever need to trap something like this. I turned a clear plastic container over the top of the spider. Important because I could see what it was doing. It was likely a "she". I then slid a sturdy piece of card stock (junk mail) underneath and across the opening. I went to the front door and flung the beastie out of the container into the mint plants. I could see each one scuttle away.
I think however they got in, they could not get traction to get out. I put salt in my drains, and they are not water bugs. I wonder if they got in around the window frame. I will spray some perimeter spray around those windows.
That was my exciting day.
It is fall and the critters want to come in before it gets cold.

If you do not have any help you have to do it yourself.

That's true! Fortunately, I have not seen a big and terrifying one recently

This variety is one that will jump, and so I wanted to be cautious. I have also heard that they will chase you.

@GardenGerty Oh wow! I've never had one chase me. I'm not sure I'd like that.

I always shout for help when it happens, and when I was a kid, I tend to the bathroom for bugs, before I go shower, lol!

@GardenGerty No me either, the closest I have seen any are on the porch outside or in the garden.

What I dread are the mice that come in every fall and winter. Now that my husband is gone again, he's not here to handle them. Have a good week.

I do not seem to have mice here, so far. I attribute that to having lots of snakes in the area. I am sorry that your husband is gone again.

I want them to enjoy time outside eating smaller bugs.

E-Gads! That's one big spider. I used to see them in the bath tub.

I am mortified of spiders and I see them mostly in the bathroom. I use the hand shower to chase them away.

They are back outside now. I will spray a perimeter spray around the doors and windows and hopefully that will keep them out.

Though the method is good, I still do not think I can do it by myself

Any type of spider is so gross. They should stay outside where they belong.
