Wine a healthy drink

When I had low HDL that is the good cholesterol my doctor recommended that I drink red wine atleast five times in the week around 60 ml each time.
It worked wonders for me. From as low as 30 it rose to 50 and it has stayed that way.
One can never think liquor could improve one's health if taken in prescribed doses.
Red wine is made from grapes and I therefore wonder if eating grapes can also yield the same results.

I can only drink the sweet red. The regular sour red gives me stomach acid.
