What a Meal

We have alot of round steaks in the freezer. The last quarter of beef was particularly large in size and as much as I dislike the round steaks, they came in a large supply due to the size of the animal. I have been attempting to come up with meals to use up that beef in different ways.
Tonight I did a beef and broccoli dish. I added mushrooms because we love mushrooms. I also made some rice, in the instant pot-super quick and it came out perfectly. I heated up some vegetable spring rolls that I bought frozen.
My husband asked me if I ordered in as the food was so delicious. That made me feel really great. What a meal, what was yours tonight?

We haven't had dinner yet tonight, but I'm making teriyaki chicken wings and calling them bat wings. Because, Halloween and all.

That was a great compliment. I throw many of the steaks in the slow cooker. Especially the not so tender cuts. When they are done you can't tell they were not a prime cut

I often slow cook round steak, but I know with the amount that we have in the deep freezer that we will really get tired of that if I didn't look for another way to prepare it. This was easy and it was a good way to use up the fresh broccoli that I had in the fridge instead of just having it as a side dish.

@wolfgirl569 I've done them in the instant pot and pulled the meat and eaten it on wraps after I added some bbque sauce, that is nice too.

@Juliaacv We had 3 meals the last time I cooked some. The last one I made brown gravy and we had open faced roast beef sandwiches. That was a wonderful change

Sounds really yummy like a beef and broccoli Chinese dish. I had a turkey/Swiss sandwich. Have a good day.

@Juliaacv You could cut it up into bite size pieces and make a chili.

My kids love round steak. I do try to buy the tenderized version, but it's often hard to find. We have a few favorites using round steak, the kid's favorite is called chili cheese steaks...hard to explain, but the meat is seasoned and browned in a skillet with a ton of chopped onions and spices are rubbed into the meat. Then it is baked with tomatoes, and lastly, topped with cheddar and provolone shreds. Very tender...there is never one single bite left.

I don't put much cheese on it, some people use so much cheese, you don't taste anything else.

Though I don't eat beef, your meal sounds delicious.
I had lemon chicken wings for dinner last night.
