Attention span is the time a person can spent focussing on a task without getting distracted. With the digital technology improving, new gadgets and smartphones in market today, our attention spans seem to be challenged by notifications and overload of information.
With instant messaging, endless scrolling and constant notifications, smartphones can be a distraction in any environment. We know that frequent distractions will make it harder for us to concentrate on a single task, even if we work for extended time.
Social media platforms provide often quick and shallow content, something the television used to do at times, few years ago. Such content often could lead to our ability to retain and process information.
Add to that multitasking feature in smartphone- especially while gaming - this habit often reduces the quality of focus.
Do you feel that smartphones are causing a decline in our attention span?

@Dreamerby you will not be distracted if you will just open the necessary tabs or apps you need.

I don't see the smartphone will be my distraction. I can control of what i can do to the phone like not too much using the phone for just watching videos all the time everyday.

Yes it is! The best practice is to not use it first thing in the morning. But I think the best way is not to have an internet.

Guess, you are not addicted to smartphone , hence the attention span issue is not an issue. Thanks for sharing!
