Second Hand Clothes

How I wish there were second hand clothes shops around here. The clothes that I want to get rid of have no demand even giving them away as those who need clothes will not wear the type of clothes I wear. Clothese these days do not get worn out and one gets fed up wearing them for years. I have so many t shsirts and pants that are in good condition but I am fed up of wearing them I wish atleast someone could come around and collect them to be sent to places where there have been floods and such natural calamities. We have large containers where we can drop (clean and inside a bag) the clothes we do not want anymore. They are sold at the charity shops for a very cheap price.

I agree with you. But the last time we had a big fire, the people of TV said that they would only accept new clothes. Taht is absurd, although I understand that someone has to put aside clothes that are too worn.

@allknowing It depends on how well you take care of them.

We have so many second hand shops around . . . I put clothes and other items we don't need anymore in bags and simply drop them off. There are also online sites where one can sell or giveaway items.

@allknowing I've sold or given away my kids' old clothes by the bag full on such sites (local to where we live). The person has to come here or agree to meet somewhere to get them.

It's easy to get rid of clothes here. That's one problem I don't have.

We have Good Will and Salvation Army used clothes stores. Also, various thrift stores which are nice.
