Well, the person who came to install my internet was late by about half an hour. But, we got it done. At the end of it, george was happy. It's conparable and I can use my same router. So that's a good thing. I don't have to switch anything over. That's a headache in and of itself. I had /have like ten devices on the thing. And the more that are working the slower the connection. thankfully, things seem to be going well.
I'm glad because I didn't have to drag George anywhere.

I'm glad you had your internet set up. I'm still trying to get my phone switched over to Kinetic/Windstream.

@kaylachan They had a special in October when we signed up. The monthly price is lower than what we were paying before for sub-par service. Overall, it will be better! I can't wait until they do cell phone service!

I researched Starlink myself, because people were using it in more ruel areas. Was not happy with the price being offered so decided to forgo it. However, I'm glad it's reliable for those who can afford it.

ATT has been a provider for a while now, actually. I've had them in the past, but prices kept going up and it became to expencive. Now with Fiber internet becoming the new way to go, they've price locked it and made it cheeper so I'm going for it.

I hope you and George had a good day and will have a relaxing evening. I posted a lot today and as usual, when I looked up again it was dark outside. BTW I am worried do you know anything about LindaOHio here? When I don't see her posting I get worried I put in a PM to her but see nothing back, She has more than her share of problems.

I've been concerned about her as well. My first thought, is that she lost her husband and is taking time to process it. Or, worst case, something happened to her and she's in the hospital, herself. I don't want to think the worst, but I've had a suspicious feeling that her husband isn't long for this Earth.

@RasmaSandra I don't know enough about her in order to have anyone check on her. From the sound of it, neither were young. I became concerned when she couldn't get ahold of her husband in over a week and she tried to make herself okay with it.

@kaylachan you and I think alike and it worries me when once she said she did not know what she would do if he passed away, I will just keep praying since until we hear anything there is nothing else we can do.

Glad you could get the internet device installed. These days , we need internet and it is tough to live without one. I carry a portable internet hotspot when travelling and use Wifi when at home. I do have data in my cellphone service provider but love to use the portable hotpsot as it is more faster . Plus , currently the prices of these look affordable. There are few who are mentioning starlink could also be introduced in India , but I doubt if it will be successful as there is already competition among existing providers and they do bundle with other offers. I'll get a twenty dollar discount on my first month, but after that, it'll be less then what I was paying before (not by much), but it's price locked which is why I agreed.

have you done the speed test . net or whatever test. When everyone is home, ours in incredibly slow.

I used ATT's built-in tool and my router's tool. But I thought about it. The cameras sip at data which is helpful.
