Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone in the United States had a good Thanksgiving, We just finished our big dinner. My grandson brough a turkey and ham and I made the rest of the meal. They brought two pies to.
Before we ate we went and got a scooter for my great grandson. He is three years old tomorrow. He loved the scooter and was playing on it outside. He is a really good kid and loves to be active.
They are leaving tomorrow. They have to drive all the way back to Washington.

Australia here is a long way down under, but the Thanksgiving day, has now become a feature here too, especially with its Black Friday celebrations.
When I was a lad, we had never heard of it, and Christmas was the day for the ham, and the turkey.
I believe Americans have celebrated it for hundreds of years.

It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! A big family meal with turkey, ham, and pies—perfect for the holiday. How sweet that you got a scooter for your great-grandson, and that he’s already enjoying it at just three years old! It must have been such a joy to see him so excited. I hope the drive back to Washington goes smoothly for them tomorrow. It’s always nice when family can come together for the holidays, even if it’s for a short time.

What all did you make?
I made a turkey, a ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing and hush puppies. Four different pies- chocolate silk, key lime, sweet potato and apple.
