New Years Eve Plans.

Tomorrow's the last day of 2024. It's that time when folks in America celebrate by drinking and blowing stuff up—especially here in Florida. Just ask @moffittjc, he'll back me up on that. Although, he’ll probably be busy hanging out with the mouse... but that’s a whole different story. The kids are getting older—almost seventeen and eleven now—so they’re starting to spend more time with their friends than with us. It’s been tough for me to get used to. Our oldest has beach plans, and the younger one is hanging out with her cousin. We decided to keep it low-key and celebrate the new year with R and his mom. They’ll appreciate the company, and it’s an easy plan. What are you all up to when this year wraps up and the new one kicks off?

I’m watching a college playoff game (Penn State vs. Boise State), then I’ll try to get sleep despite the fireworks. Because New Year’s morning we’ll head to the Tulsa area to see my sister’s family since we missed them on Christmas.

I don't know what we'll be watching, but I know it'll be something. Right now we're watching Hell's kitchen still. Almost done with season one.

We are going over to my cousin for dinner. I am not sure what she is even making.. I am taking some cookies and cupcakes. We will be home before midnight.

We were going to make a big old dinner, but I think instead we will go spend time with other people since the kids are going to be gone. New Years day we might make shrimp and pork chops though.

@thislittlepennyearns It wasn't cold at Disney the entire week we were there (chilly at night, but mild during the day), but apparently it was pretty cold in Gainesville while we were gone. It's pretty cold out right now. Crazy how much temperature variance there can be just between north Florida and central Florida.

@thislittlepennyearns A lot of people go over the top and there are far too many fireworks. As for the cough, almost gone so another visit to the Doc's is not needed
