This is a new mantra for the new year.
It is part of being positive. Not dwelling in the past or being disappointed when a given situation doesn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Dwelling in the future with great intent.
Approaching it with respect and just taking it for what it is, not what I wish it was.
If I can't change it then I work through it with a more positive attitude.
Lessening my major depression demands this.

That is the advice I have been given from the You Tube related to God's advice that say act positive and do not live in the past since I do not live there anymore.

I'm not one who believes in God so it comes to me on its own.

I try to stay positive with my husband's situation; but it's hard. Have a good day.
