I was listening to some of those scam videos on YouTube and they were talking about Fentanyl and I thought I would do some research on this deadly drug.
It is a highly addictive synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. Two milligrams of Fentanyl, enough to fit on the tip of a pencil, is considered a deadly dose.
According to the CDC, 107,622 Americans died of drug poisoning in 2021. Of those 66% of those deaths involved synthetic opioids.
Two cartels in Mexico, the Sinaloa Cartel and, the Jalisco Cartel are primarily responsible for the majority of the Fentanyl that is being trafficked in the U.S. They use chemicals largely sourced from China.
Symptoms of a Fentanyl overdose can be slow breathing, grey or blue skin, cold and clammy skin, limp or flimsy arms and legs, and constricted pupils.
A test kit for the drug is comprised of test strips. You would mix some Fentanyl in water and lay the curly end of the strip in the water mixture. Called FTS they have a 96 -100 accuracy rate and cost about $1 a piece.
Urine tests can detect Fentanyl for 24- 72 hours. A blood analysis can see the drug showing up for 5 to 48 hours. The hair test can still find traces for up to 3 months.
The Cartels make Fentanyl-laced fake prescription drugs that look exactly like such drugs as Oxycontin, Percocet, and Xanax. Those addicted to those drugs take a chance of getting Fentanyl laced fake ones when they buy off the street.
In 2022 the DEA seized more than 58.3 million Fentanyl laced pills. They also found more than 13,000 pounds of the powder.

What I don't understand is, why do they keep making it if it is so deadly. Where's the profit in killing off your clientele?
