Before Christmas a few towns had ‘Christmas markets’ of various sorts, and at one place I saw this - a double decker carousel. Not seen one like that before! It has a flight of stairs spiralling around the centre and a top deck with a sleigh and other vehicles to ride in. Having seen it in action though it seems the traditional horses don’t go up and down, which is a key part of the appeal. I saw quite a few people photographing it (like me!) but not so many actually riding. Have you seen one like this? Do you like the traditional carousel? I've never seen a double-decker like that, either. I prefer the horses going up and down, if the choice is mine. Did you notice how much was being charged for a ride on it?

I prefer the 'galloping horses' type too. I think the price was £3, although not absolutely sure.

@Fleura That's not a bad price, though. I thought it would be more since it's a double-decker ride.

I've never seen a double-decker merry-go-round. I used to love them as a child.

I confess I still do like them! In fact they are the only funfair-type entertainment I do enjoy these days, apart from bumper cars (if my friends/family are also driving).

@Fleura Most adults would still love bumper cars I think.

I don’t believe I have seen a double decker carousel. My nieces and nephew would love it. They recently went to Disney World, and my sister got several pictures of riding that carousel, but it doesn’t compare to a double decker.
