So Many People are Sick!

I've had one set of my grandkids sick last week for at least 7 days and missing school with the flu. Monday they went back to school. Tuesday my grandson woke up feeling horrible and my daughter felt his head and found him pretty warm. She took his temperature and sure enough, he had fever. So he stayed home from school Tuesday and woke up feeling fine and dandy Wednesday and wanted to go back to school. Luckily, he was fine.
However, my other daughter called yesterday to tell me she was on her way to pick up my granddaughter from school. She was complaining of a sore throat. She made her a doctor appointment for Wednesday afternoon and she was diagnosed with Fifth Disease. Luckily, she was already passed the contagious part. This is a viral thing spread by coughing and sneezing, so she picked it up at school more than likely. I had never heard of this illness until then. It sounds like it is pretty common though. She developed the rash on her cheeks and her throat feels better today, but she is still hoarse.
This weather going back and forth isn't helping anyone get well either. Do you have a virus, the flu, or a cold that is just lingering on?

I am suffering from allergies. Why? Because the pollen is so bad here that my blue car is now GREEN from all the pollen that’s on it.

The nurse that cared for my son today in the ER put him in a private examining room and said the hospital was full. The Er was backed up, 2-3 hour wait unless you were having a heart problem or bleeding profusely! Wild! Tons of sick people everywhere!

Yes, beds were lining the hallways of all areas of the ER. It was a nuthouse, and how son got so fortunate to get special treatment in that little special room was much appreciated. The security at he ER door passed out masks to all visitors, etc. Too many sick people in one spot.

@kareng It's gotten better for him these past 2 days - thank goodness. We have had really bad air quality from the fires (we're not near the areas, but I'm sure it's blown in this way) - so I wonder if it had more to do with that.

I think it is the fluctuation in weather that brings in sickness.
Hope they are all on the way to recovery.

In that case I guess I am glad I am hibernating in my apartment and not venturing out much,
