Hey, My Car Changed Colors!

The accumulation of pollen on my car

While I love Florida and traveling to see the beauty in the state, there’s one thing that bugs me. My car changes colors when I come down here in the winter. It’s got a disgusting yellow tinge to it now. Why? POLLEN. My nose feels like it weighs 80 pounds. I don’t have to look for waterfalls because I have the action from my allergies. So my first stop today will be a car wash. Y’all have a good day. That’s the hood of my car with the yellow tint and a Sonny’s BBQ in the background.

We have a ton of pollen here. My husband suffers from allergies terribly.

I do as well. It’s one of the downsides of being here this time of year.

I hate that too when pollen covers the car. Hope a trip through the car wash gets rid of it all and that all that pollen doesn't drive your allergies crazier.

I’m doing okay, swallowing the allergy pills. Since covid people don’t look at you funny if you’re wearing a mask outside.

That happens here too, as @Tampa_girl7 stated below. Wash the car and it is back covered the following day, so annoying!

Me as well; however, I hate white sn*w dust more.

The only way my car changes color during the Winter is when it snows... Pretty and I are both having allergy problems right now. The doctor says it's from being cooped up inside with the windows and doors closed. The filter in the central heater catches some of the dust (You wouldn't believe how dirty that filter gets in six months!) but anything too small for the filter to catch just gets circulated back through the house. Be careful and have fun!

Oh, I’d believe it. I have one of those big filters, and every six months…poof, get a new one!

Just undid the color change at the car wash. Let’s see how many minutes it lasts.

I have never been bothered by pollen. I am sure your car will look great once it's washed, I hope you feel better.

Thankfully, I've never had hay-fever or pollen allergies. Hopefully a car wash will help.

It turned blue again! It’ll probably be yellow in the morning.

Lol. Yellow had to go to therapy after reading your post However for your allergies, you can take some anti allergy meds. I take Montec-LC everyday now.

I take allergy pills every day. When it rains pollen like that, it doesn’t help much.
