It's actually a cake in a loaf pan because I will give one to my SIL and one to the baby in the family. We also cannot eat it all, one loaf is enough for us. I made them this morning while doing the laundry. It's very easy to make and bake. It can be done in less than an hour, 20-25 minutes for the baking and the rest is for ingredients prep and making the mixture. I also made the chocolate ganache but that's another story for another time.

I love to call them heavy cakes. That is my term of calling these moist cakes. My people laugh when I told them why. They are denser than other cakes. I love chocolate, butter, and pandan ones.

actually, it is not dense at all. It is soft, fluffy and lighter than some dry cake

It looks quite dark. What ingredient did you add to give it that color?.

@rakski You're welcome. My first wife always used pudding in cakes and cookies. I don't know how she added it to cakes but I've made cookies the same way when Pretty was young.

Making them in loaf pans is a great idea. Why didn't I think of that? A whole cake is too much for us too

yes, it is too much for us too plus it is difficult to store in the refrigerator without a box if it is a big cake, it will be harder
