Errand Day!

We had another pretty day here today once it warmed up! The sun came out around 11 am and by 1 pm it was very nice outside. The temperature rose to 66 today!
But tonight the low will be 38 so a big drop there.
We ended up running errands again today. I was disappointed that I missed Aldi's yesterday and last night my husband said he wanted to go to Fielder's Truck Accessories in McComb. We already had errands to run in our little city, so he decided that lunch at the Golden Corral would be nice today.
I managed to get a partial re-stock done at the drug store and picked up my prescriptions. We stopped at the Auto Parts store, the boutique/sportsman store so he could ask a question to see if the owner there had a fifth wheel hitch in his truck and a pop in the grocery store before heading to McComb.
We got back home just before dark and I went out to give the chickens some corn to fill those bellies up and stay warm tonight.
So we are all stocked up with food and snacks for the rest of the week to get us through the big freeze hitting Wednesday night! I don't plan on going anywhere unless it is WARM on Friday! And that will be to restock at drug store and/or boutique.

Nothing like a well stacked up pantry and fridge. I believe in stacking up too

@kareng I mostly do my shopping online. We do not have weather issues but I do not like to go out.

@allknowing I'm getting to where I prefer to stay home on most days! Adventure will win though in going out and on trips!! I'm all for that! And miss traveling!

I don't let the weather stop me from doing things I must. I guess it's the Wisconsinite in me. The snow and weather we get here in Illinois pales in comparison to what I am used to, and so I just deal with it, even if it irks me to no end and I HATE having to deal with it. But if there were 14" of snow on the ground and I needed bread, I'd clean off the truck, hop in it, and go to the store. It's rare I don't have a full pantry and freezers though.

Turned out to be nice and productive. George and I wound up spending several hours outside. He got to see his favorite school bus.

@kaylachan What time is it getting dark there now? We are seeing good daylight until about 6:15 here now. Can't wait until it is light until 8 pm again!

Warmed up? What?! Huh?? What is this “warm” stuff you speak of??? 
It was nice (despite the cold) and I went to Chuy’s for lunch. Might be too cold to try getting out the rest of the week.

I had a productive day yesterday.
Work was really good, and afterwards I got 3 errands done.
The best part of the day was while watching the weather forecast on the evening local news, they forecast a slight warm to our temperatures as soon as next week. Right now we are very very cold and next week we will see temperatures at or above the freezing point. That is nice, but I will believe it when I see it as it usually doesn't happen until the following week at least, in March.

I think we are on a warming trend. No snow today, we got up to 6 F. By next week it is to be in the 50's.

That's good that you have stacked up the grocery. I would do the same every week. It's easier to plan my weekly meals seeing what's in store.
