I went out today to try to find a place I know about where supposedly people help with rent. I made a Google map of how to get there on my phone, and then caught the bus. The driver dropped me off a street away from the street I wanted to go down, so I went down the street I was dropped off on, thinking maybe I could find it tat way. I walked down that street, then turned down another street that I remembered from my Google map, and walked...and walked... I stopped at a store to see if anyone there knew how far it was to the place I was going, and the guy didn't speak English. I left and saw a lady at the shop next door (actually a Curves gym/workout center) and asked if she knew where the place was. She took me to the edge of the little shopping center and started telling me directions, then she said, "You know what, I'll drive you." We went back to her place and she said she had to wait until her co-worker got there. We chatted about 5 minutes and then she said something to the effect of "Never mind, we'll just go." She left a note for her co-worker and drove me to the place. At the front counter I was talking to someone and another man came up and said, "Are you Stacey? Do you remember me?" I looked at him and knew I recognized him and then said, "Scott?" That's who he was. He used to work here at my apartment complex, though I forget what his title was. To make the story shorter, I went to his office and he looked up a bunch of stuff for me, and said he would make a couple of calls for me to places. I was so grateful. When I left, I was on the other side of the building, so I was a tad confused. I asked someone where the nearest bus stop was, and they told me, but when I got there, I had no idea when the bus would come, so I walked further down the road until I got to an area that was more familiar to me, crossed a street, and went to a bus stop I was familiar with. I could have walked all the way down that road to home, but I was tired of walking. I knew a bus would come along sometime, and after maybe 15-20 minutes, one did, and I came home. So, that's what I've been doing today, and left before I posted a "good morning" post. I keep looking at my computer clock (which shows the date when I hover the mouse over it) thinking it's Saturday, and then when I hover over the time and the date pops up, I remember it's only Friday. Like time needs to go any faster. Now, I'd like to get something to eat. I had 3,839 steps at 1:18 p.m. Hope your morning/afternoon/evening/etc. is going well in your part of myLot land!
