profuse bleeding

I received a call from my SIL that my Father-in-law has been rushed to the hospital because after attending mass this morning, he tripped in tree branch and hit his face in the pavement. There was a profuse bleeding from his nose and apparently he had a comminuted nasal bone fracture. And there was a need to stich his forehead (2-3 stitches). My SIL and I went to the hospital. He was observed almost 12 hours but so far, so good. No loss of consciousness, no, vomiting, no dizziness or no seizures. He was discharged after 12 hours. Thank goodness.

These falls can be very bad Seniors have to be doubly alert. Glad that he has no serious issues

Poor man. He will be sore and sorry for a while but it's good there has been no lasting damage.

Oh, I am sorry to know this. I wish he recovers at the earliest. Thank God there was not a major injury.

That was a very nasty fall. I am thankful, as I know that you are as well, that there are no side effects to indicate a concussion. I have no doubt that his face will hurt for a while.

OUCH! I'm sure that was both embarrassing and painful for your FIL... I'm glad there were no complications and he was released. I hope he heals quickly.

I’m sure he has some pain from his fall. That’s good that he had no concussion. He will probably be bruised and sore for some time. I hope he heals quickly.
