Went for a walk... (and HOLEY MOLEY!)

Went for a walk, and again, my step counter wouldn't count my steps and said "zero" for the longest time even though I was walking. Currently it says 1,402. I talked with a couple of the maintenance guys about what happened, and one of them suggested I get some pool noodles and cut them open so I could put them on things. When I went to the office, they suggested that and these other things that I could get online--Amazon, more specifically--to put on the corners of things. I'll look at both options. Right now, I'm trying to call my regular doctor to see if I can get an appointment to see if I need stitches. As to the "Holey Moley..." I called the School district test proctor, and pretty much expected her to say, "Well, you didn't make 70% again, when do you want to take the test a fourth time?" but she told me I passed--(though not by much--70.5% or something like that). So, I need to get a TB test and fingerprinted, which I'll do when I receive the papers that the lady said they'd send in the mail. I'd forgotten that this was a substitute job, but it's better than nothing. Right now, I need to finish a book so I can take it to the library tomorrow. I'm also thinking of buying some corner pads to put places. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Stacey, that is fantastic about the job!!!! I’m so excited. It will make affording the pool noodles easier.

Sounds like a busy day with a mix of frustrations and small wins! Congrats on passing the test—every bit counts! Hope you get that doctor’s appointment sorted and find a good solution for those corners. Take it easy, and happy reading!

It's some kind of paycheck at least. And, you're working hard at it.
