A new jigsaw for me to do

We have a friend staying for a few days so this morning we went into Donnybrook and went to the op (thrift) shop. We both like doing jigsaws so we bought this second-hand one. Now the challenge will be to get it finished before she goes home - or at least partially finished.
Someone has already sorted out the edge pieces and put them in a separate small bag. I do that now with any jigsaw I tackle. When I pack it away, I put the edge pieces in a separate bag. It saves a lot of time next time you want to do the puzzle. I think the thatching might be the hardest part of this one. What do you think?

Atleast one thing is sure. You sure know how best to spend your free time and I am sure that is lots of time

I really admire your patience and skill in putting together a jigsaw puzzle like that! I honestly don’t think I have the patience to stick with one long enough to finish it. I’d probably get frustrated halfway through!
I’d much rather do something like a paint-by-numbers project instead. At least with that, I can see the progress as I go, and it feels more relaxing. It still takes me a couple of weeks to a month to complete, but at least I know I’ll get to the finish eventually. Plus, in the end, I get a nice piece of art to display!
