I went out today to take the package of Earth Breeze that I sold on Ebay to the post office.
Either before or after I left I realized that I couldn't find a book I thought was in my bag, and assumed I'd left it somewhere in my travels, so I called then took the bus to both the Health Center and the Bus Depot to check their lost and founds.
I went to the bus depot and it wasn't there, so I came home. While sitting here at the computer I saw that it was after 3p.m. and I was supposed to have gotten my TB test checked--so I called and asked if I could reschedule--and then the person on the phone said I didn't need to schedule--just tell the person at the front destk what I was there for and someone would come out and check it. (okay--so the person who first gave me the test gave me a time to come back why?
)
Before I left, I actually found the book I thought I'd left on the bus or in the Health Center, though now my brain is so scrambled I forget where in the apartment it was...
I went back out to catch the bus and go back to the Health Center to get the TB test checked. I was told it was negative, but I told them I needed documentation because it was for a job. The gal went into a back room to print something out, while I sat reading the book I had actually found and brought with me (while I still couldn't find it I had started another book, which I left at home).
When the gal came out with the paper/documentation of my test, I noted there was some information missing on it, so she when back into whatever room she'd gone into to print out a different paper, while I sat and read some more...
Finally she came back with the paper I needed, I put it in my bag and left to catch the bus yet again to come home.
I was going to get the mail, but couldn't find my key, so I got the little beeper remote and hit the button for my keys (I have different "beepers on items like my purse, keys, phone--and when I can't find one I get the remote and push the corresponding colored button to the beeper and if the item is in the apartment it beeps and I follow the beep until I find the thing). The beeping was coming from my room, but after several minutes of looking and following the direction of the beeping, I couldn't see my keys. Finally the last time I hit the button, I followed the beeping and checked a coat pocket in my closet. Of course, the keys were in there.
I think that I've decided that today's mail can wait until tomorrow--unless I get a second wind, which I can't guarantee.
So, that was my day. Right now, I'm going to figure out what to have for dinner.
Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
