I was doing my usual wandering around the Roku apps a few nights ago and found this new limited episode series called "The Gardener" on Netflix. It is a romantic thriller made in Spain. I finished it last night. It has six episodes. One can never be sure if there will be a second season to this type of series, but it ended with a lot of questions, and in such a way that there could be another. The story follows Elmer, who works in his mom's garden center. They were in a bad accident, and she lost a leg, and he got a frontal lobe injury that left him with no emotions. He is an assassin for hire, with his mother being the go-between. Elmer falls in love with a woman he has been hired to kill. This has a bit of a Dexter vibe to it, too. Pretty good storyline and good acting. I was well entertained.
