Medical Emergency!

No, not one if us. Carlos Santana had a medical emergency in San Antonio, Texas. It was later found that this was due to dehydration.
I keep talking about this very thing. Dehydration can come on quickly and hit ya in many ways from headaches to passing out. So please take a break once in a while and drink a glass of water. If you don't like the flavor add some lemon or fruit juice.
And, please don't forget to water your animals.
Carlo is a favorite of mine. I'm glad it wasn't more serious.

I’m worried about him. That’s the second time he’s had a medical emergency caused by dehydration. His music brings so much joy, he needs to take care of himself!

I totally agree. Many men are too macho to drink water.

@celticeagle — Don Felder, former Eagles guitarist, had a similar issue not too long ago. I think you’re right: they use the part of their brain that says “stay hydrated” for guitar playing.

I like Carlo Santana too! I hope he has a speedy recovery. I have heard that as we get older, our brains start to not recognize "thirst" as well as it used to - so it's important to be extra mindful about drinking throughout the day.

Yes, indeed. People get busy and forget. They need to make it a priority and find a way to add it to their day.
