"I kept it on silent mode"

When the mobile is kept on silent mode one does not get to know when there is a call. Fair enough but there is also a feature callled 'Missed calls' What bothers me is why one does not check if there have been any missed called while the mobile was kept on silent mode
I had that experience when I urgently wanted to contact someone and right through the day I received no return call. I then contacted her husband and you can imagine what followed.
I keep checking my mobile for calls if any when I am away from my mobile.
What's your story?

@DaddyEvil Very funny And then there are places where even with that pocket I will not be able to take the mobile with me. You can guess where those places will be

It is always good to check as sometimes we are nowhere near the phone when it rings
