A Bank Holiday well spent

So, yesturday was Bank Holiday Monday..... i wonder how you spent the day .... My partner Rod cleared a lot of the garden. The previous owner of the house had put in a rockery with a small pond, with running water. I have to admit that we have largely left this area as we wanted to change the garden, there is an incline which makes it tricky for us to use the lawned area. We wanted to concentrate on decorating the house first, before tackling the garden. So, operation garden has begun. Not sure how much we will get done but at least we have started. When the reeds and weeds were removed we found we have at least a further 5 foot of garden. How did you spend the Bank Holiday

Vegetation goes so fast in your country. We found that when we visited Ireland too. In Australia, most things grow much more slowly.

It wasn't a holiday in the US. Some people celebrated a Mexican holiday here yesterday. But nothing closed because of it. I spent parts of my day mowing our yard. The battery for our electric mower is dying so I can only mow 10 minutes at a time and it needs 4 hours or charge time between uses. We either need a new battery or buy a gas mower again.
