We have a bakery close by that makes many bakery products and buns are included I like these buns They are soft and I like to dunk them in tea. Baking bread has been one on my bucket list but for reasons unknown I have yet not got into it Do you bake your own bread?

I used to bake bread at least once a week but haven't baked any in years. The doctor told me eating that much bread will cause diabetes, so I stopped baking it. Now that I have diabetes, I realized I should have ignored the doctor and kept baking bread.

@sallypup Yes, true... The thing is, I used to eat wheat bread but never baked it myself. I only baked white bread.

@DaddyEvil Dumb doctor. Just like rice, there is brown rice and there is white rice. Eat the whole grain kind and you will get more nutrition.

@LadyDuck Unpacking is quite a hassle That takes me to when we shifted here. My husband's office had facilities to get movers and packers who did all that for us packing and unpacking

My daughter-in-law sometimes does. I wish I could personally, too. If I can, I can make sweet yam cakes or cinnamon rolls.

I bake both yeast and quick breads. It's really not too hard if you don't have to have perfection every time.

@allknowing I like to play with bread dough. I turn on classical music and gather bread making stuff and get to playing.

I have baked.my.own bread Both in a machine and in the oven Both attempts were pretty poor and the.results.were.so bad even the birds didn't eat it. Easier just to buy it in a store or a bakery. Buns are good Buns with cream in them and icing on the top

@allknowing I hope you do better than I did. If I dunked a bun it would fall apart and land in my drink

No, I don’t bake my own bread, but your discussion reminded me of King’s Hawaiian bread, and now I want some! They are beyond delicious.
