Update on Buffy, the Vampire Slayer Reboot

I couldn't sleep so started wandering around the web. I see that Hulu has requested a pilot of the upcoming reboot of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer so that's good news. And, Capitol UK says filming is to start this summer or fall. This means there could be a pilot by the end of 2026. They also mentioned that the lead roll had been arrived at being actress Ryan Keira Armstrong. I recognize her but not sure what all she's been in. She looks like the original buffy so that should be interesting. I am really hoping that this reboot is not a disappointment like the reboot of Charmed was. We will see.

Maybe it will after it runs here first. Places tend to pick show after they go into syndication.

Why reboot anything.
I don't get the need to reboot stuff from decades before.
Can't they come up with anything new for us to see

Because they have a great following and some miss the show after it finishes and want to the storyline continued.
