Appointment for a scan has come through !

So, I have been waiting for a Doppler scan for two weeks now, despite it being my second one and requested urgently. I had a phone call this morning asking if I can go Thursday at either 6pm or 6.50pm. There were no other appointments this week. The scan can the up to an hour. My Mom likes to come with me but she is 87 now and doesn’t really like being out when it’s getting dark. We have to use taxis too which she is not happy about in the evening. Anyway I said I was seeing the consultant next Wednesday and asked if they had anything then…no was the answer. So I had to accept the appointment. Then I realised that they need to take my brace off and I have been told it’s only the people in the plaster room at the fracture clinic that can do that. They won’t be there as late as 6pm. I tried to ring the plaster room for advice but there was no answer. I rang the scan dept. back and explained and she said she would check what needs to happen next and would call me back. I feel I am being messed about and just wish the department would talk to each other more.
