We Get a Reprive For A Few Days

I watch a treasure collector each day on YouTube. Taco Stacks picks up people's garbage, items that he can sell or reuse. Very interesting. But his area (Pennsylvania) has had days of rain and several more are expected. He is tired of it. I would gladly take it. Here in my area of Idaho (the south western portion of the state) is in an extreme drought right now with an accumulation of 0.55 inches of rain year to date ( our average is 1.16 inches). The southeastern portion of the state has had 14.46 inches compared to their average of 10.48 inches. Is that fair? 86% of Idaho is experiencing drought conditions with southern Idaho having prolonged warm and dry weather with the temperature 4 to 6 degrees above average. Mother Nature needs to get back on her meds or something. Another weird thing is that as of today there are 4 active fires with about 8,600 acres having been burned so far yet my weather app says that the air is great and to get out and breathe some of this great air. I am sensitive to bronchitis and can't breathe smokey air at all or I get sick. So POO on you weather app. I would be so happy to have a good gully washer and a fabulous thunder and lightning storm. We have had an inkling of one about three times but nothing to really count as a good storm. How is the weather in your area?

My area is under that "heat dome" The Weather Channel keeps talking about and showing online... We've had a week of high temps and high humidity. Today it is 96F with the humidity at 60% so the RealFeel is showing at 103F. We just came off of a week of rain every day... Our grass in the yard is loving it and going crazy but it's too hot to go out and mow.

Heat dome, huh? That doesn't sound fun at all. Reminds me of a sci-fi movie. The humidity is awful this year. Usually we don't have it around this area but this year we have. I hope the latter part of August has some lower temps. I don't want to have to cancel my wellness visit with my doctor but I will if it is too hot.

@celticeagle "Heat dome" is what it was being called on The Weather Channel. I hope you don't need to cancel your wellness visit.

Dry and hot. We need rain badly. There is a chance of rain tomorrow. I hope you get some.

We do too. I did a post about our drought and the fires. It always scares me.

Hot and humid and most of the heat comes rolling into my apartment. I am waiting for a good rain shower with no lightning or thunder and then go dancing in the rain,

That sounds a really interesting program. Our weather is really wild at the moment. Not nice at all.

In that predicament you can't blame nature for that. Once the rain keeps on pouring floods can't be avoided.

This is true. When I lived in Pocatello there were always flooding.
