On the app Disney+ they have this series of shorts that i watch sometimes. They are just cute little short cartoons on different subjects. The other day I watched one called "For the Birds". It was about this tall bumbling bird that lands on a telephone line in among some small wren type birds. He bungles his way in and nearly causes the line to go clear down to the ground. So the little birds are laughing at him and gossiping about how different he is. This made me think about how mean people are in society to people who are different. Take for instance the gay community and how they are treated. And, how mean kids are in school. If a person is the least bit different they are treated so badly. Instead they could take the time to get know them and learn about them. They could have a good friend for life. I especially dislike the way some people treat gays. Some feel they aren't really gay and feel they just want attention. Gays have true issues and should be understood and not criticized. Some people look down on them because they don't understand them. I think that people have a right to be who they are. And, peace and live and let live would be a nice change in this world.
What are your thoughts on this issue?

Cousin #3 will be home schooling her two boys this fall. Her oldest has been bullied too much for him to stay in a regular school.

@celticeagle Yes it is. I'm glad she knew about it and will keep him at home.

I don't care. People can be just what they want to be and love who they want to love. If a person finds love, then that's a good thing.
I also believe that people have a right to be who they are. Think how they like to think.
It would be wrong to treat any in that community bad, call them names or insult their intelligence.
It would be like treating people badly simply because they voted for a different candidate.

I try hard not to be judgmental. I have friends from all walks of life. You are so right that one could lose an opportunity to have a wonderful friend.

It's a big world and a lot of people. Not all of them will be people we like but many of us need to be more tolerant.
