I have still not got to baking bread which I want to do before I kick the bucket I have all the ingredients but not the will. Somehow I am putting this off for resons not known. I know what it is when bread is getting ready in an oven The whole house will smell of it and that is such a pleasant smell I have read posts here by users who are experts at baking bread Do you bake bread? @LadyDuck That I am used to as when we make dosas and apams we have to keep the batter overnight for fermentation Do you have bread molds?

@allknowing - Making bread requires a little time, because the dough needs to rest and double in size before you can shape the bread and let it rest a second time before putting in the hot oven.

I used to bake several types of bread but haven't baked any in several years. When you get around to it, I hope it turns out delicious!

@allknowing I can give you a hint to try for regular white bread. Instead of all the kneading the recipe calls for, after it rises for the first time, just stir it in whatever container it's in until it has flattened back out and it's ready to rise again. You don't want to overwork the dough or it will be tough to bite into and through. Often, the first try at something doesn't turn out like you expect. It might still taste good, though, but look a little different than you imagined it or than the pictures online show.

I don't make bread. There is a lot of effort and time needed but basically I'm too lazy.
