The Sun is Setting on Another Trip

This was a doozy. One for the ages. I still have lots to tell you about.
But for now, I’m outside of Kansas City. I should be home tomorrow. I’ve had to cut my trip short for the second time this year to go home for a funeral. 
The man who owned our Putt Putt course and helped me get started in the game passed away unexpectedly Sunday night. His memorial is Thursday evening.
I didn’t do much but drive today, making it all the way through Kansas (if you’d like to see a replica of Kansas on Interstate 70, look at a pancake and you’ll have it 
). Less than 500 miles now. I bet I can drive it faster than the Proclaimers can walk it!
Here’s this evening’s sunset from Kansas City. Not as dramatic as last night’s, but singularly unique and beautiful nonetheless.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. You have plenty of time to go 500 miles, take good care.
Your sunset this evening looks a lot like ours did, orange at the bottom, it was lovely.

I did over 500 miles today, with stops (including an out of the way drive to a restaurant the Siri didn’t bother telling me was closed 
). Two days to get there.

500 miles is quite a bit to cover Surely you will take rest now and then. Safe driving
That sunet for me is out of this world I only get views of the sunrise as we are facing the East. I have loads of them in my photo folder.

Thank you. It’s three (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) full days until the memorial service, and I’m only 500 miles away. I should make it.

He had been on dialysis for a few years, so “unexpected” may be incorrect in terms of him being perfectly healthy. Thanks, I always try to drive safe.
