I just watched a great video. Part was on the subject of hydration. Starting your day with 16-32 ounces of clean, room temperature water before coffee, tea or breakfast. Room temperature water is easier on the stomache than cold. Remember that your body has gone 6-8 hours with no liquid intake. The body needs water to function, especially with the kidneys and liver flushing toxins from the body all night. It needs to be replenished. This is why many older folks wake up and are groggy, have sore muscles as well as memory and circulation issues. You lose water during the night through sweating, breathing, and metabolic processes. Your blood thickens too and slows oxygen delivery to vital organs such as the heart, brain and kidneys.

I keep two bottles of water on the headboard of my bed. I never go longer than two to three hours without drinking water. My kidneys make sure of that by waking me up to use the bathroom that often. I drink water when I get back in bed and then I check in on myLot.

That's really good. I'm rather surprised at how very important it is.

@celticeagle I eat so much meat that I'll get gout if I don't drink enough water.

@celticeagle Start the day with 32 oz of water??? Then spend the rest of the day passing it! The theory is fine, as with most things. Practice is something else.
