I don't believe it!

A couple of months ago I lost my house keys. I had been out in the car, and when I came home my partner was already there so I didn’t need to unlock the door. I have no recollection of what I did with them then.
I didn’t need them for a day or two after that and when I next looked for them in the usual place (a tin in one of the kitchen drawers) they were not there.
I scoured the house for them, turned the car upside down, searched through all my clothes, but no sign. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I put them in the car door pocket, which does already have quite a few odds and ends in it, and they bounced out somewhere when I opened the door.
Well I kept hoping they would turn up in the house somewhere, but they didn’t, so in the end I had to give up and get a new set at great expense (to keep as spares, because I had taken a couple of the spares for me). They were in the drawer with a little tag on from the locksmiths.
Yesterday I was sweeping up leaves and weeds from outside the garage. Big One came to help and she brought the new set of keys to get an extra broom from the garage. When we had finished I used those keys to lock the garage door. Then as we were finishing up a man came to collect apples and grapes I had offered on Freegle, then Big One helped me prune some of the long stems from the wisteria, then it went dark so we were gathering things up and the man was still picking grapes in the gloaming. So as usual everything was a bit of a rush and now we can’t find the new set of keys anywhere!
I can’t have lost a second set in less than a week, surely!
Edited to add - I found them, they were in the tin all the time! Just couldn't see them for looking!

The new set went to snuggle with the first set you lost to keep them company.
I have my housekeys on the fob for the car with a spacer between the keys and the fob. I tuck the keys under my belt when I'm carrying them around so I can't put them down. When I go back into the house, I unload my pants pockets on my dresser in my bedroom and the keys go on the corner of the dresser. I hate losing things so always put them in the same spot when I'm done with them.
Everything I own has a spot and I want it in that spot if anyone uses those items. (It makes Pretty mad because she wants to just set things down where ever she used something and I gripe at her until she brings whatever it was back and puts it where it belongs.)3 people like this

I'm glad you found them, at least.
Was the other set also hiding in the tin, too?

@DaddyEvil Sadly no, they have not turned up. I did think they might reappear as soon as I bought replacements, but they haven't.

I always wanted a house with wisteria on the walls... well be careful what you wish for as they say. I now have one and although I do love it, it's a bit of a mixed blessing because it would completely cover the house if allowed. Every year I have to go up a big ladder and cut and pull huge tendrils away from the roof!
It's a two-person job to put the ladder up and hold it while I do the pruning so we never manage to do it at the right times, either my partner is too busy with work, or we're away, or it's too windy. So I was trying to trim it as much as possible from ground level before stormy weather comes!

That's something that gives us lot of tension. I had lost my house keys once. It went into the bags of a temple priest who had come to bless our new home.
