I saw some dragonfly thing on YouTube and thought I'd share what I learned. Don't we all love them? I sure do. They are like something fairy-like to me. There are about 3,000 and are found on every continent but Antartica. They live for 7-56 days and spend most of immaturity under water. They are indicators of a healthy ecosystem. Immature dragonflies eat mosquito larvae and wasps. They are natural pest controllers. When a dragonfly visits you, they are a positive omen and symbolize transformation, change, and self-realization. Picture is from Etsy.com Didn't work.

I love catching them and putting them in my belly button. It's been a long time I don't see them here anymore.

I love them and we have them around the property. We watch them eating the mosquitos and termites that just hatch looking for homes. They are very comforting to me.

They do enjoy flying around water to get the mosquitos I guess.
