We're About to Get Our Crunch On

For years on myLot I have talked about these and touted them. Perhaps I should receive a commission for any potentially sold? Tortilla forms that turn ordinary flour tortillas into crispy taco salad bowls, and they are delicious as hell. If you don't have any already, look them up and get some. You take flour tortillas, put them into the forms, set the oven to about 400 degrees, set them inside and bake them for about 15 minutes. They turn into delicious, crispy bowls that you can fill with whatever you want. Tonight we're doing lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, bell pepper, and diced chicken breast seasoned with taco seasoning. Have you ever used these? Do you like taco salad? Do you like crunchy bowls? What's going on your dinner table tonight?

I like tortillas, but I prefer to have my salad served in a dish than inside a taco.

It depends on what I am after. If I want a garden salad, yep, put it in a bowl. But if I want a taco salad...I want something crunchy. lol

@LadyDuck Oh, for sure. I like croutons too. I don't always use them, but I do like them.

Many of our Mexican restaurants used to have these on their menu but they got old really quick, they're too messy

How could they be messy? You have my curiosity piqued.

I tried one once but with the shell being crispy and the innerds soft it wasn't so easy to eat, turns out it's much easier to eat as either a regular taco one can pick up or as a quesadilla or enchilada.

You never know. It can be fun to go viral, although it rarely happens.

It is always very good. I might be weird, but I like to crush mine all up and mix it all together before I eat it. lol

They really are. There are few "kitchen things" I've ever bought that I ever thought were worth the price, but these little forms were definitely worth every single penny, and they really didn't cost much at all. I got them at Goodwill or something when I bought them.

I've never had a tortilla. Just tortilla chips. lol I'll have my usual tonight. Turkey/Muenster sandwich, maybe some forbidden chips and some broccoli.

I use them a lot, flour tortillas that is. Enchiladas and burritos are always good with a soft one. I like making them into crunchy bowls. Breakfast burritos are also always good.
