George just told me, he wants to try and go into a store tomorrow on his own withut my help. I'm a little nervous about it, because he hasn't really done anything like that on his own since before the stroke, and he can't get across what he wants half the time. But, I respect his desire to be independant. And, honestly, I really can't stop him. But I'll be nervous, until I'm back with him. At least,we'll bring his phone, and I can see where he is, and if he's driving.

Hi, Kayla. Forgive me for asking, does he want to drive there and back by himself, and you stay home, or you go along and stay in the car? It sounds like he wants to try to spread his wings a bit. But I can understand being nervous.

I want to go with him, stay in the van. But, he wants to drop me off somewhere nearby and venture out on his own. I just wish it was somewhere he could walk to (or I could), in case his afasia gets him in trouble. But, this is America, this is Florida. it's rarely that simple.

@MarieCoyle it comes and goes and is mild to modorate at best. But he seems to be doing somewhat okay nearest I can tell.

@kaylachan I would be very leery of him not being able to manage the Afasia without you there, too.
