I hadn't watched this movie in a while. It was one of my mother's favorite movies. Even for that time the image of the ghost is very well done. It's a great mysterious story about the lovely girl's background. The brother and sister (Ray Miland and Ruth Hussey) find this wonderful mansion of a house on the cliff and fall for it. They have a seance and bring the ghost out. The twist is lovely and all of the ghosty parts are pleasant and well done.
Two of Josh's favorites came today in the package of four I got. He enjoyed "Robots" and "The Iron Giant" so we will want them together one night.
Well, I am off to watch the other movie I got. It is "Remember the Night"(1940) with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray. He's a judge and she is caught stilling a bracelet. It's the holiday and they have to put her up over the weekend since no one will be at the jail. She ends up going with him to his families for the holidays. It is such a sweet romance.
I love vintage movies from the mid 30s to the early 50s. The 60's were junky and then they came out of it in the 70s.
No pictures would load.

I enjoy classic movies a lot myself since most of them had happy endings.

And I think they have so many other fine qualities as well.
