Heard this one for the first time today. I play my Pandora channel when the students are working independently or in groups. I don't blast it so they have to hear it full sound but I just play it so I can hear it. It is funny because as the year goes on the students ask me to turn it up and they are liking country. This song is by Walker Hayes who I have recently discovered. Funny stuff. This particular song is about how he is not a high-class guy and his ex-girlfriend is getting married. He is invited to and attending the wedding. The whole theme is that "guys like me make you like guys like guys like him” The whole song is funny but my favorite part is: "Nah it don't make sense Bought y'all a toaster He's got the bread, I couldn't be broker Speakin' of toast, ding ding on this glass I propose a toast to my ass." He wants the credit for getting them together. So funny.
