We don't have anyone who teaches "horn" at the Guitar Center where I work. Horn could include trumpet, French horn, saxophone, etc.
Yesterday, a fella came in, interviewing for a job as a saxophone teacher.
I was on a break,so I said "let's jam!"
We did Miles Davis's All Blues (in G) and an E blues tune. He sounded great! Several of my co-workers joined in, including a drummer and another guitarist.
"You're hired!" I said.
I hope his actual "interview" (basically a staff member saying "give me a lesson") went well.
.
I hope more spontaneous jams with this fella occur.

Too bad Guitar Center doesn't ask the other musicians whether they should hire a person.

@TheHorse That's always helpful when you like the people you work with/around.

@DaddyEvil Very true. I have seen more corruption and incompetence than I expected when I entered the work force.

How interesting that the Guitar Center will most likely teach horn.

Is there room in any of the groups you play with for him?
