Still Scratching Off Lottery Tickets

United States

I might be $10 down now on my winnings to losses ratio, but it's simple fun scratching off a $1 or $5 lottery ticket. Hubby picked me up some today while he was out buying my Christmas presents. I know what I'm getting, but I don't get to "get" them until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Tell me again whether or not you ever do scratch-off lottery tickets, please.

Nope, can’t waste the money. There was a time I could afford to try if I wanted to, but that time is long past. I understand the fun though.

No. I hate scratching them off. Whenever hubby would get some for me, I made him scratch them off. lol

There was a guy I knew who bought them and just scratched the bottom scannable part. I thought, well...that's boring. lol If I'm going to lose, at least I still want to have fun doing it.

No, we don't buy lottery or lotto tickets. We can't afford to do that.

I don't, but my wife likes to play them. I'm after the big money, so I play the state lottery and the Powerball. I stopped playing MegaMillions when the ticket prices went up to $5.

Nope. I can't and I wouldn't anyway...my theory is that the money you have on hand is a sure thing. It's yours. Once you spend it on something that could well be nothing, it's gone forever.
