My latest jigsaw

The photo shows the latest jigsaw that I’ve done. It was much harder than I thought it would be. All the picket fencing, the lattice work and screen doors were quite tricky, then the brown trunk and the ground were another problem. It was 1,000 pieces but it’s done now. There was a note on the box saying 5 pieces missing so when I got it finished I drew tiny circles on the box where the missing pieces were. Hopefully that will make it easier for the next person. The scene shows children having a sale of their toys and it seems like they’ve added their baby sister to the sale. What is especially cute is the sign on the toddler saying ‘Sister’. The 5/- is crossed out and 2/6d put in its place. I wonder what their mother had to say about that! So now I’m on the lookout for another jigsaw. I know there are some in the drawers at the clubhouse.

You saying it was difficult reminds me of those viral videos of rude sons and brothers sweeping their mom or sisters huge newly completed puzzles off the tables and into the floor. Just to go viral. It would make me so angry. This puzzle is really pretty.

@JudyEv They show them on a funniest video show, and I don’t find them funny, and neither does the audience. Everyone always groans; they don’t laugh.

@AmbiePam We used to watch Funniest Home Videos but many involved people getting hurt so we quickly gave up on it.

Thankfully I haven't seen those clips. I'd be really mad too. What an awful thing to do.

We have a lot in the clubhouse or at least a dozen if that's considered a lot.

@JudyEv Its a lot for me, one of the few times whole family would bond on a jig saw puzzle. They are fun.

Looks like it took some effort.

It took me ages. I ended up dividing the pieces according to shape and going on from there.

That jigsaw scene reminds me of the artwork of our famous painter Norman Rockwell. I can see two missing pieces, but I’m not looking hard, and it doesn’t distract from the picture.

Every time I ran into a problem I'd think it was a missing piece. It would have been helpful to have it marked on the box. The artist is Gordon Hanley but I know of Rockwell's paintings. They're lovely too.

Wow! That puzzle looks like it would be difficult! Congrats getting it all together! The mother might have made the sign if the sister cried a lot.

I didn't think it would be as difficult as it was.
